Xiaomi Mijia Smart Audio Glasses combine open-ear audio, premium design, and 13 hours of continuous battery life

Xiaomi has strengthened its bet on the smart device ecosystem with the global launch of the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Audio Glasses, officially introduced alongside the new Redmi Note 15 series.
Although they are part of a broader lineup that includes smartphones and wearable accessories, the smart glasses stand out for combining sophisticated style, open-ear audio, and above-average battery life, positioning themselves as a premium product within Xiaomi’s portfolio.
According to Xiaomi, the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are aimed at the so-called “business elite,” functioning not only as a technological gadget but also as a lifestyle accessory. The design is discreet and elegant, moving away from the futuristic look commonly associated with smart glasses.

Open-ear audio focused on comfort and safety
Unlike traditional earphones, the glasses use air-conduction technology, allowing users to listen to music, take calls, or receive notifications without blocking the ear canal. The SLS0820 ultrasonic speakers, integrated into the temples, deliver clear sound while keeping users aware of their surroundings — an essential feature for urban commuting, walking, and professional use.
The system is complemented by four integrated microphones, which provide wind noise reduction of up to 4.5 m/s, ensuring clearer calls even in outdoor environments.
Privacy mode with reduced sound leakage
One of the main challenges of open-ear audio is sound leakage. To address this issue, Xiaomi implemented a dual-layer privacy mode, based on inverted sound waves that reduce audio dispersion.
In practice, the feature performs very well in busy environments such as offices and streets. In completely silent settings, there may still be slight sound leakage at higher volumes, but overall, the system proves efficient for everyday use.
Premium design and customization options
The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are available in three classic frame styles:
- Pilot-Style (Aviator)
- Browline
- Titanium (27.6 g)

All models are compatible with prescription lenses. The Titanium and Browline versions offer 25% blue light protection, while the Aviator model features UV400 sun lenses, blocking 99.99% of UV rays.
The construction includes piano-wire hinges, tested for up to 15,000 flexes, as well as an IP54 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and light splashes.
Battery life, fast charging, and smart features
Battery life is one of the product’s strongest points. The glasses are equipped with two 114 mAh batteries, delivering:
- Up to 13 hours of music playback
- Up to 24 hours of general use
- Up to 11 days in standby mode
With just 10 minutes of fast charging, users can get up to 4 hours of use, although charging is done via a proprietary magnetic cable.
The Xiaomi Glasses app expands functionality, allowing users to customize gestures, activate a voice assistant, locate the glasses, record audio, and connect to two devices simultaneously via Bluetooth 5.2.
Outside of a call, the glasses can record surrounding ambient sound. A built-in LED indicator lights up during recording, alerting people nearby that the feature is active — an important measure to respect others’ privacy.
