Projects were already experiencing a decline following the major crash on Friday (10), and the removal announcement has added even more pressure on these cryptocurrencies.

Binance and OKX, two of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, have announced the removal of several cryptocurrency trading pairs. According to their statements, the decisions are based on multiple factors, including listing criteria.
While Binance’s action is milder, since the affected cryptocurrencies can still be traded through other available pairs on the platform, OKX’s decision indicates a complete delisting of the mentioned assets.
In one case, a project dropped 40% after the announcement.
Binance Confirms Removal of Six Crypto Pairs from Its Platform
In a statement published on Wednesday (15), Binance announced that it will be removing six trading pairs on Friday (17). They are:
ANKR/BTC, BOME/EUR, DATA/BTC, HOME/BNB, SHELL/BNB, and SPK/BNB.
The removal by Binance hasn’t significantly impacted prices.
Over the past seven days, Spark (SPK) and MyShell (SHELL) have fallen 17.9% and 20.3%, respectively, while Ankr (ANKR) is down 19.8%, Streamr (DATA) has lost 21.6%, and Book of Meme (BOME) has dropped 30%. The only token holding steady is DeFi App (HOME), up 5% during the same period.
Binance explained that the removal of trading pairs can be due to several factors, including low liquidity and trading volume.
OKX Announces Full Removal of Multiple Trading Pairs
While the cryptocurrencies mentioned in Binance’s announcement will remain tradable through other pairs, the OKX statement released on Thursday (16) is much more drastic.
That’s because, in addition to removing the pairs, the exchange will completely delist the cryptocurrencies from its platform.
The removed pairs are:
SLERF/USDT, ALPHA/USDT, ALPHA/USD, BADGER/USDT, BADGER/USD, OAS/USDT, OAS/USD, MLN/USDT, MLN/USD, and AIDOGE/USDT.
As a result, SLERF, ALPHA, BADGER, OAS, MLN, and AIDOGE will be fully removed from the exchange.
In the past 24 hours, SLERF has dropped 4% and Stella (ALPHA) is down 12.5%. Badger DAO (BADGER), Oasys (OAS), and Enzyme (MLN) have fallen 3.6%, 3.8%, and 3%, respectively. The worst performer is ArbDoge AI (AIDOGE), losing a staggering 43% of its value.

The exchange stated that the removal will take place on October 23, but deposits for these coins are already disabled as of Thursday (16). Withdrawals will remain open until January 16, 2026.
